Surf Conditions Around Taghazout Bay

The coast around Agadir and Taghazout Bay is one of Morocco's most useful surf zones because it offers different waves for different levels: sandy beach breaks for lessons, playful points for progression, and famous right-handers for experienced surfers.
Best season
October to April brings the most consistent North Atlantic swell. This is the main season for intermediate and advanced surfers, with stronger point-break days and more powerful waves.
May to September is usually smaller and softer. It can be excellent for beginners because the ocean is more forgiving and the weather is warm.

A local classic with playful sections on smaller days and longer rides when the swell lines up.
Devil's Rock
Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Each surf day depends on swell size, swell direction, tide, wind, crowds, and guest level. Beginners need safe, manageable waves. Intermediates need clean sections and good feedback. Advanced surfers need the right forecast and local awareness.
